Research Projects: National Survey of Sexual Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviour in Ireland to be funded by the Crisis Pregnancy Programme and the Department of Health and Children in 2003


Notification of Work to Be Commissioned

The Crisis Pregnancy Programme and the Department of Health and Children are jointly funding a National Survey of Sexual Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviour in Ireland. This notice is to alert researchers in the field about this research and to invite expressions of interest from interested parties.
Notification of this call for expressions of interest is also being advertised in the Official Journal of the European Communities (OJEC) http://www.ojec.com on the 5th August 2003, where further details are outlined. The journal reference for this notification is 134876-2003.

The deadline for receipt of expressions of interest is Monday August 18th 2003. Expressions of interest need to be received before 12 noon on this date.
Expressions of interest need to contain the following information:
1) A statement of the educational and professional qualifications of the bidder's managerial staff and of those persons who will be responsible for carrying out the contract requirements;
2) A list of the works carried out by the bidder over the past five years, accompanied by certificates of satisfactory execution for the most important works.

These certificates shall indicate the value, date and site of the works and shall specify whether they were carried out according to the rules of the trade and properly completed. Where necessary, the competent authority shall submit these certificates to the contracting authority direct.

The following information is also required along with applicant’s expression of interest:
3) Full name and address;
4) Contact name, position and telephone contact number;
5) Details of organisation(s);
6) Key staff profiles including brief curriculum vitae (research and project management);
7) Details of Professional indemnity, Public liability and Employers Liability Insurance;
8) Details of any other information applicants feel appropriate.

After expressions of interest are received, those applicants invited to submit a tender will be sent all relevant tender documentation. This will include a research brief and supporting documentation.

The date for submission of full research tenders will be Monday September 15th 2003. Interviews with prospective tenders are scheduled for Monday September 29th 2003 and Tuesday September 30th 2003. It is anticipated to award contracts by the start of October 2003.
